Job Title: Hot Tap Technician
Wage: Based on Experience
Location: Red Deer, Alberta

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Hot Tap Technicians for the RFI Team. The Hot Tap Technicians will be provided with direct training on Red Flame Industries procedures to allow them to run their own projects including a team of 4. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

Clean Drivers Abstract
Minimum 3 year’s supervisory experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
Preference given to those with previous Hot Tap Experience on Oil or Natural Gas lines
Worked on Hot Taps from 6” to 36” pipeline
Strong ability with paperwork and attention to detail
Oilfield knowledge an asset.
Preference given to graduates NDT courses at accredited colleges.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Familiarity with a Quality Management System and Quality standards such as ISO.

Responsibilities

All technicians will perform their work in accordance with Red Flame Industries policies
Able to manage a crew of four and complete all required paperwork
General understanding of how to review paperwork (Engineering assessments, welding, and equipment procedures)
Act as a leader and mentor to trainees within the department
Have the ability to step into a truck for a short time to run jobs with an experienced crew
Ability and willingness to participate in all jobs as required whether in a lead or assistant role
Ability to learn quickly through both written modules and observations of different jobs
Run complete hot taps from preparing job equipment, working with welders on proper procedures, assessing engineering drawings, setting up and completing drill outs and completing all required paperwork
Act as a leader and mentor to trainees within the department
Have the ability to step into a truck for a short time to run jobs with an experienced crew
Other duties as required

NDT Assistant

Job Title: NDT Assistant
Wage: $20.00/hr
Location: Red Deer, Alberta

Job Summary

We’re looking for NDT Assistants. The position will be based out of Red Deer Alberta but may require some travel throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Trainees will be working under Red Flame Industries SNT or CGSB certified technicians while completing our internally developed training program for UT and MT. Starting rate will be $20.00/hr.

Qualifications

Previous experience in NDT whether in school or hands on preferred
An aptitude for mathematics and science as well as strong computer skills including
Microsoft excel
Mechanical ability
An interest in working with processes and equipment
Excellent interpersonal and communications skillsThe ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a technical or engineering team
Oilfield knowledge an asset
Preference given to graduates NDT courses at accredited colleges

Responsibilities

All technicians will perform their inspections in accordance with Red Flame Industries policies.
Technicians will work with an assistant or crew to inspect a diverse range of oilfield related equipment including pressure tanks, cranes, pickers, man lifts, oilfield elevators and general are weight or pressure bearing equipment.
Complete all reports using provided tablets within the field which will report back into our internal software system.
Act as a leader and mentor to trainees within the department.
Work through our created training modules on a regular basis in order to advance your own skills and move forward within the company.

B-Pressure Welder

Job Title: B-Pressure Welder
Wage: $42.00/hr to start
Location: Red Deer, Alberta

Job Summary

We are currently seeking B-pressure Certified Welders to work with our growing team. B-pressure Welders will be extensively trained to Red Flame specialized weld procedures. Red Flame Industries prefers full time employees but also accepts resumes from Sub Contractors. Wages are negotiable, with an overnight LOA of $100/night over and above the cost of accommodations.

Qualifications

Journeyman status and Alberta B-pressure ticket
3-5 years as a B-pressure welder an asset
Ability to work as a part of a team
Mechanical ability
A strong knowledge of oilfield equipment and services
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Familiarity with a Quality Management System and Quality standards such as ISO

Responsibilities

Completing welds as per WPS and weld maps as per Red Flame engineering work packages and ensure Red Flame high standards of quality are met.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc (GTAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), shielded metal arc (SMAW), oxy-acetylene (OAW).
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame cutting equipment to fit components.
Work with Non-destructive Testing Inspector
Maintain safe work practices
Assist in development of repair estimates
Technical Inspections
Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits
Liaise with internal and external customers for resolution of data and technical problems
Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
Prepare input for various management and log reports
Provide data to assist in monitoring and tracking project budgets and project status
